Professional Development Opportunities

Charleston Southern University, in conjunction with numerous sponsoring agencies, offers a variety of professional development courses for practicing teachers and administrators. We are affiliated with Berkeley County School District, Georgetown County School District, Santee Cooper, and the STEPS Reading Center. Please contact the staff development coordinator in your district or Dr. Gertrude M. Morris, Director of Graduate Studies in Education, at CSU (843) 863-7914 to inquire about current or future courses being offered.

Custom Designed Professional Development Courses

Whether you are affiliated with a school, a district, or an agency, CSU can help you develop custom-designed professional development courses for teachers and administrators. Each three-credit graduate level course meets for 45 hours and is designed to fit your specific needs. From course design and registration through final testing, a CSU professional will coordinate your course(s) to ensure convenience and quality. If you are interested in offering a graduate level professional development course through Charleston Southern University, please contact Dr. Gertrude M. Morris, Director of Graduate Studies in Education at (843) 863-7914 or e-mail: gmorris@csuniv.edu for additional information.
