Meet the Faculty: Anita Korbe

Dr. Anita Korbe is an Assistant Professor in the Derry Patterson Wingo School of Nursing at Charleston Southern University and an American Nurses Credentialing Center board certified family nurse practitioner. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas and her master of science in nursing administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, a certificate as a family nurse practitioner from the Medical University of South Carolina, and her doctor of health science from Nova Southeastern University. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and has developed several nursing courses throughout the BSN and MSN curricula.


She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and has served on the Governance Board of the Gamma Omicron at-Large Chapter for 3 years. Dr. Korbe is a member of the National League for Nurses, the American Nurses Association, the South Carolina Nurses Association, and President-elect of the South Carolina League for Nurses. She was a project member of the Quality and Safety Education in Nursing, in which the Derry Patterson Wingo School of Nursing is one of 15 pilot schools in the country and funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
