Jeffery Gray

Dr. Jeffery Kirkwood Gray, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Behavioral Sciences at Charleston Southern University. He received his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1997. Prior to coming to Charleston Southern University, he was a visiting assistant professor of psychology in the Department of Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Prior to that, he worked for the Department of Defense screening service personnel for deployments. Dr. Gray teaches a variety of psychology courses at CSU, including General Psychology, Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Forensic Psychology, History & Systems of Psychology, and Statistics for Health Professionals. He is a member of the APA, SEPA, and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. Dr. Gray’s scholarly interests include how human-robot interaction and technology impact human development and behavior.

Awarded the 2015 Faculty Service Award for my food drives for the Low Country Foodbank. Was nominated for the 2021 Excellence in Teaching Award.
