Christy Winchester

Mrs. Christy Winchester earned her doctorate through the University of South Carolina in Curriculum and Instruction, her master’s degree from The Citadel (MA in Teaching English), and her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina (BA in English). She has had the privilege of teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in education and English at a variety of student levels, from traditional-entering freshmen to nontraditional adult learners. In addition, Mrs. Winchester has taught English Language Arts in grades 7-12, from the inclusion level to the IB/AP level. She has also worked in a nontraditional environment where she had the distinct privilege of managing an education department that served over 400 military members.

Mrs. Winchester is the proud parent of 3 (no, not a typographical error) amazing children. She shares her active household with an 85-pound Golden Retriever-Chow mix (who thinks he’s a lap dog), his “pet”, Moxie, who is a 4-pound Chihuahua (and has rightfully earned her name), and a 3-year-old Green-cheeked Conure (who thinks she owns the place).

Your Purpose. Our Mission.

God has blessed my family and I beyond measure. I consider it a supreme joy and a privilege to teach at CSU and by doing so, helping to do God’s work.
