MASTER OF Science in Human Resource Management (MS-HRM)

The MS-HRM provides current and aspiring HRM practitioners with the theoretical and practical tools necessary to practice effectively in the field and to prepare for HRM professional certification testing.

Delivery of Courses

Courses specific to the HRM area of expertise are delivered in the on-campus mode. However, other courses and electives for the MS-HRM are delivered both online and on-campus.


The schedule for the MS-HRM is flexible. Students can take one, two or three courses per semester. A student taking three courses per semester can graduate in four semesters, or 17 months. Classes are offered over three terms: fall, spring and summer. Students can begin the MS-HRM at the beginning of any term.

Preparation for Certification

This program is designed to aid a student in acquiring the core HRM body of knowledge needed when pursuing initial HR professional certification. It aims to help students understand the nature of fundamental HR function in an organization. A student should be able to apply concepts from the course work into professional practice upon completion of the program.

A combination of online and residential classes can be taken for the convenience of the student.

*A GMAT score report is not required at the time of admission, and will only be requested for the Graduate Committee to determine whether the applicant has the potential to successfully complete the program. All full-time students taking 6 or more hours, earning a GMAT score of 500 or higher, receive a 10% tuition discount.
