The Public Health major at Charleston Southern University equips you to earn the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential offered by the National Commission of Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC). This national exam is a highly recognized certification that proves your skills as a health education specialist, helps employers identify qualified health education specialists, and promotes continuing education throughout a health educator’s career. The Public Health program promotes a vibrant and friendly academic environment that will foster your personal and professional development. Our curriculum is designed to meet national standards and encourages hands-on experience to apply what you learn in class within practical settings.
