Charleston Southern University > Summer Music Camp > Housing, Meals, and Supervision

Vocal & Musical Theatre Camp

Monday, June 18 - Saturday, June 23, 2018

Band, Orchestra and Piano Camp

Monday, June 25 - Saturday, June 30, 2018

Camp students, except day campers, will be housed in Charleston Southern dormitories. Campers must bring their own sheets, towels and pillow from home. Dorm campers will be housed two or three per room. Friends who wish to room together should plan to go through the Monday afternoon registration line at the same time. Housing for Saturday night, at the end of the camps, is not provided.

Please note, if you have applied and are accepted into both the Percussion Camp of the Carolina and Summer Music Camp, housing is not provided Saturday or Sunday (June 23 and June 24). PCC Campers will be required to follow the same check-out procedures Saturday afternoon, then return for Summer Music Camp registration and dorm/day camper assignment on Monday, June 25, 2018.

Meals begin Monday evening after check-in and end with dinner on Saturday - 16 meals in all. All meals will be served cafeteria style, and students will be allowed to eat as much as they wish at every meal with a wide variety of choices.

While staying in the dormitories, all camp students will be under the careful supervision of the Music Camp Staff. Counselors will live in the dormitories and assist with all rehearsals in order to closely monitor all aspects of camp life.

Health Care

In the event of an illness or injury to a camper, the staff will contact parents and escort that student to the health care facility of choice for prompt, professional medical care. Several fine facilities are adjacent to campus, including Trident Medical Center and walk-in clinics. Costs resulting from medical care, medication, x-rays, or lab work are the responsibility of the parent. In the unlikely event that a student would need hospital care, immediate transportation would be arranged. Costs resulting from hospital treatment are the responsibility of the parent.
