Charleston Southern University released its Fall 2017 Chapel schedule on Tuesday, which includes eight services through the semester. The Fall 2017 schedule includes keynote messages from Chris Singleton, Operation Christmas Child and the annual Horton School of Music Christmas concert.
The purpose of Charleston Southern University Chapel is to provide the University with a worship experience that connects the campus community with the thoughts and heart of Jesus Christ. Chapel is held bi-weekly in the Lightsey Auditorium on Wednesday mornings at 11 a.m. throughout the semester.
Chapel services are held in Lightsey Chapel and attendance is monitored. Alternate chapel services are also offered throughout the semester, allowing students to receive credit when scheduling problems arise. 48 chapel credits must be earned to graduate.
CSU’s mission is to promote academic excellence in a Christian environment. Chapel is one further vehicle that allows for faith integration in learning, leading and serving.
Founded in 1964, Charleston Southern University is a private, four-year liberal arts college. CSU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and is affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention.
