Growing Programs and Campus Greet CSU Students

CSU Class of 2021

Because of its vision to be a Christian university nationally recognized for integrating faith in learning, leading and serving, CSU continues to attract students from diverse backgrounds who desire a faith-based education. CSU witnessed its third highest enrollment in school history with 3,575 students as well as the highest graduate enrollment in seven years. In addition, minorities comprise approximately 30% of the total student body.

Academic growth areas:

  • Record international student enrollment in undergraduate and graduate students attending CSU
  • A Physician Assistant program will begin in January with a cohort of 25 students
  • A new graduate program in Athletic Training enrolls its first group of students
  • A new major in Cybersecurity
  • The Horton School of Music is ministering to churches through the Elevate Worship ensemble

As programs continue to expand, so do campus facilities. Opening this fall are the Health Science building, 8,000-square-foot athletic weight room and football meeting room, and the Singleton Baseball Complex. Also in the planning stages is a new student residence hall and arena.

Charleston Southern University has been recognized as one of America's Best Christian Colleges and as a College of Distinction. In addition, the university has appeared in America’s 100 Best College Buys and in U.S. News and World Report's Best Online Programs. CSU is a Military Friendly School and a VA Yellow Ribbon Program participant.
