CSU joins the walk for healthy hearts

Marketing and Communication // 09.02.2016

Charleston Southern University invites you to support the American Heart Association (AHA) at the 2016 Lowcountry Heart Walk on September 24th at Liberty Square.

The CSU community has made a significant impact toward the AHA’s mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke over the years, and we hope to have our strongest showing to date at this year’s Heart Walk.

Why should you get involved?

People are why. Life is why. You are why. The numbers speak for themselves.

Heart Walk

At Charleston Southern, we walk because it's personal. CSU College of Education professor Dr. Cynthia Putman has been battling a heart condition since the age of three. Since then, she has had two surgeries, but it hasn't slowed her down. Putman has participated in raising awareness and funds for the AHA for almost two decades.

How do you get involved?

Simple. Create a Heart Walk Team for your department, program, or student organization. Please feel free to invite friends and family to join us as we walk toward a healthier campus and Lowcountry community. The greater participation, the greater the impact.

Ready? Register today.
