Student Leadership Academy

Charleston Southern University will sponsor a new student leadership program beginning in January 2017. The Student Leadership Academy, a two semester program, will be open to students interested in learning the essentials of Christian leadership for success in their future vocation.

“The Student Leadership Academy will provide excellent opportunities for CSU students to learn the essential knowledge, character traits, attitudes and skills related to Christian leadership,” said Dr. Michael L. Bryant, executive vice president at CSU. “In addition, the program will help students grow in their self-understanding, personal gifts and calling.”

During the 2017 spring semester students will attend monthly leadership luncheons and field trips with their peers. Students will complete an internship during the fall 2017 semester in the vocation of their choice. All students who successfully complete the program will gain not only life transforming wisdom and practical experience, they will also become eligible to receive three chapel credits and a scholarship.

The Student Leadership Academy is open to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. To participate, students must submit a completed application by January 15, 2017. For more information and an application, contact Marcus Bryant in the Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership.
