Wingate Taking Home the Honors

For the second time, Wingate by Wyndham at CSU has been named the Small Business of the Year by the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce. They also captured the award in 2014.

General Manager Ron Jaicks is a 1993 CSU alumnus and has fostered an atmosphere of community service within the Wingate team. In addition to sponsoring CSU Alumni Association and CSU Board of Visitors networking events, the Wingate also sponsors Dorchester Habitat for Humanity, the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce and Rackets for Recovery for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The hotel is serious about helping the community and has provided community service for 16 organizations over the past year.

The teamwork the Wingate employees exhibit through community service is reflected in the job they do at the hotel. The Wingate by Wyndham at CSU received the 2016 JD Power Hotel Guest Satisfaction award and the 2015 Best of the Best award from Wyndham Worldwide. And, Jaicks was listed as one of “20 to Know in North Charleston” by the “Post and Courier.”
