The 16-month-long Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is designed for those with a minimum of 58-60 credit hours of previous college credit or an earned bachelor's degree in another field to become a Registered Nurse. This concentrated program will prepare you to meet the healthcare needs of a diverse society. Classes will be offered online and in the evenings.
Students interested in applying to the Accelerated Nursing Program must first apply to Charleston Southern University for admission as a transfer student. While completing prerequisite requirements, you will enroll in the College of Nursing as a pre-nursing student. Charleston Southern has a revolving admission policy, and you may be admitted to the university to begin prerequisite coursework in the fall, spring or summer. Prerequisites do not have to be completed by the application deadline, but by the start of classes in August.
Admission to the Accelerated BSN program is selective and competitive. Up to 16 students are admitted for the fall semester.
