EVENTS 

Epic Bible Study Training

These trainings prepare area Bible teachers to teach Lifeway’s Explore the Bible® literature and teaches the big picture of that quarter’s biblical book(s) and answers interpretive questions in a balanced manner so that these area Bible teachers can design their own individual lessons with a book’s larger message in mind.

This training time is devoted to understanding and interpreting the whole book. We will not cover classroom management or teaching techniques but will seek to equip teachers to unravel the book’s message.

South Carolina Christian Chamber of Commerce

The Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership is the host of for the monthly networking meetings. The SC Christian Chamber of Commerce vision is to unify businesses, churches, and alliances through commerce and community so that each of the groups are stronger both individually and collectively to have a positive impact on our cities and state in the name of Jesus Christ. 


Student Leadership Academy

The Charleston Southern University Student Leadership Academy kicks off its annual schedule on Tuesday, September 26 at 12 p.m. in the Drew Conference Center inside the Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership. 


Endure Conference

Charleston Southern University will host the annual ENDURE conference for high school students on Saturday, September 28 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership.
 

Reflections on Missions and Education in SC Baptist History

The SCBC History Committee and Charleston Southern University will sponsor a panel discussion with pastors and historians to reflect on missions and education in South Carolina Baptist history.

PANEL PARTICIPANTS:

  • Dr. B. Carlisle Driggers - Former SCBC Executive Director-Treasurer
  • Dr. Rudy Gray - Editor of The Courier and former SCBC President
  • Dr. Mike Hamlet - Pastor of First Baptist North Spartanburg and former SCBC President
  • Josh Powell - Pastor of Lake Murray Baptist Church and author of the new SC Baptist history
