Students complete practicum experiences in most education courses with an EDUC prefix. In addition, students complete a semester-long intensive field experience in the fall.

Wingo Hall houses classrooms for the humanities and education and faculty offices for the College of Education. Named for Henry C. Wingo. You can also find the Galley at Wingo as a quick dining option for students.

Teaching Fellows participate in advanced enrichment programs and leadership training; Teacher Cadets encourages talented high school students to consider teaching careers while earning college credits; Future Teachers Society provides education majors with networking opportunities through monthly meetings with education professionals; and Call Me MISTER (Mentors Instructing Students Toward Effective Role Models) works to increase diversity in the teaching profession.
Each program offers unique pathways for students to enhance their teaching skills, build professional connections, and prepare for successful careers in education.
