Master of Athletic Training (MAT)

Athletic trainers are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. The first professional master’s program in the state of South Carolina, Charleston Southern University’s athletic training program prepares students to become well-rounded, clinically sound, professional certified athletic trainers.

In addition, the coursework and clinical experiences provide future athletic trainers with the knowledge, skills and abilities to function as an integral member of the healthcare team. CSU also offers a 3+2 dual degree program for students who want to complete their BS in kinesiology and master of athletic training in five years. Learn more here
