Timothy Banks is an award-winning educator, illustrator, designer, and visual artist with over 25 years of professional experience. He has also worked as a creative director and owner of a successful graphic design agency, in addition to his extensive career as a gallery artist and illustrator. His whimsical and expressive style has earned him recognition in significant publications and competitions, and his work has been featured in books, editorial pieces, and advertising campaigns.

Timothy holds an MFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design and has been a professor at Charleston Southern University since 2017. He previously taught at the College of Charleston and the Art Institute of Charleston, where he helped shape the next generation of designers and illustrators. At CSU, he integrates faith and creativity in the classroom, fostering an environment where students develop technical skills and ethical foundations for their careers. He goes beyond traditional instruction by providing mentorship, real-world insights, and guidance on building strong portfolios.
