CSU Orchestra: Reformation and Phantom of the Opera

Oct. 31
  • October 31, 2025
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Lightsey Chapel

The CSU Orchestra will perform Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5, “The Reformation,” as well as music to accompany the silent film Phantom of the Opera on its 100th anniversary.

The CSU Orchestra will accompany the 1925 Silent Film Phantom of the Opera live with selections from that era! Bring kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews in costume, because the orchestra members will give out trick-or-treat at intermission! And our CSU Violin Professor, Ms. Karen Mendes, will perform a stunning rendition of the Theme from Schindler’s List.

Please note the family-friendly time of 4 p.m.  (You may have seen 7 p.m. advertised earlier in the semester, but the correct time is 4 p.m.)

Admission is FREE, but an RSVP is requested, to help the orchestra students plan for the costume contest and trick-or-treat. RSVP here.

Please join us in person if you can – but if not, you can watch the livestream here.
