Courses

The MBA program is designed with the working professional in mind. It consists of a minimum of 30 semester hours of credit. The MBA is delivered through a flexible program featuring online and/or blended delivery methods each semester.

  • Online: Web-based courses are geared to provide motivated learners greater flexibility as they are challenged by a variety of assignments and learning opportunities. Students do not have to be online at a certain time; however, there are deadlines for assignments.
  • Blended: Blended courses are also an option for certain courses, combining online with residential.

We advise students to take the combination of residential or online courses that best balances their needs for personal attention and flexibility.

Students receiving an emphasis within the MBA will have the emphasis noted on the official transcript. Diplomas do not reflect the emphasis.

Students must declare an emphasis by filling out the appropriate form at the Registrar’s Office by midterm of the semester prior to graduating from the MBA program. A student who has received an MBA from Charleston Southern University without an emphasis may return to earn an emphasis by completing the necessary course requirements in the chosen emphasis.

At the beginning of their program, all students are required to complete BUSI 600, MBA Orientation (0 credit hours) within the first three weeks of their initial semester. This course will equip new students with the information necessary to ensure success in the CSU MBA program.

At the end of their program, all students are required to complete BUSI 699, MBA Exit Assessment (0 credit hours) in their final semester, as a graduation requirement.
