Campus officials monitoring Hurricane Michael

By CSU Media | October 10, 2018

Campus officials continue to monitor the track of Hurricane Michael. Wednesday afternoon and evening classes will operate on a normal schedule. Due to the elevated threat of tropical storm-force winds from Hurricane Michael, classes will be canceled and offices will be closed tomorrow, October 11. Resident students are allowed to stay in their residence halls.

The Charleston area is now under a Tropical Storm Warning and anticipates up to two inches of rain and wind gusts up to 45 mph. Students are encouraged to read the CSU Emergency Procedures at charlestonsouthern.edu/wx.

CSU Dining Hall will be open for residents on Thursday from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. The Rivers Library will have a limited schedule on Thursday from 4 p.m. – Midnight. At this time, classes will resume and offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, October 12.

The safety of our campus community is always the number one priority. University leadership will continue to monitor conditions and update as appropriate. Please monitor Buc Alerts, CSU social media and charlestonsouthern.edu for additional information.
