Campus closing due to winter weather

Charleston Southern University will be closed on Friday, January 5, due to icy roadway conditions from the winter storm. The safety of our campus community is of paramount concern. All campus events scheduled for Friday are canceled. The men’s basketball game at High Point University and women’s basketball game at Liberty University, both on Saturday, January 6, will proceed as scheduled. Student-athletes should contact their individual coaches with questions.

Classes will begin as scheduled on Monday, January 8. Residents are encouraged to wait until Sunday, January 7, from 3 – 6 p.m. to check in to the residence halls. Limited residence life staff will be available to check residents in on Saturday, January 6 from 2 – 5 p.m. in Littlejohn Parlor and Quad 2 lounge. Residents are encouraged to return only when conditions are safe to do so. Any resident experiencing delays should communicate with the residence life staff (reslife@csuniv.edu) of their expected arrival date and time. 

Aramark will begin serving meals on Saturday, January 6, at 5 p.m. New undergraduate student orientation will proceed as scheduled on Sunday from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership, Rooms 102 and 103.

All university offices, including Admissions and Financial Aid, will open at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 8. Students with financial aid questions may email FinancialAid@csuniv.edu

Charleston Southern University will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 3, due to winter weather conditions and is expected to reopen at noon on Thursday, January 4. The women’s basketball game at 7 tonight will proceed as scheduled. All campus events scheduled for Wednesday are canceled. Please monitor the website and social media for additional updates.
