Bachelor of Arts (BA), Applied Computing

The Charleston Southern Bachelor of Arts in applied computing is a highly flexible and challenging degree for those who want to prepare for computer-related professions typically found in the fields of business, the arts, religious service, public service, healthcare, etc. This degree program offers three concentrations: cybersecurity, business, and graphic arts. The cybersecurity and business concentrations may be taken completely online or in-person. The graphic arts concentration may only be completed in-person at this time, though students have the opportunity to take most courses online.

The Bachelor of Arts in applied computing equips students to enter the workforce as desktop, mobile or web developers, IT analysts, or network specialists. The major also prepares you for computer-related professions in almost any field including business, the visual and musical arts, religious service, public service, or health care. The required coursework provides students with a broad technical foundation, giving students a launching pad to pursue more advanced topics. Students in this major must complete a required senior project.
