More Than an Education

Charleston Southern University students receive more than an education. CSU seeks to transform their lives and open their eyes to all that God has for them.

Our students are equipped with leadership skills and knowledge based on biblical principles. Faith integration is our calling and will always be an integral part of our academic and cocurricular experiences. In the classroom, professors go beyond training students to pursue a vocation. They challenge students to think critically and seek to equip them with the skills needed to become leaders in our society.

Through numerous spiritual growth programs, students are encouraged to cultivate a personally owned faith and are then provided opportunities to take their faith and learning outside the classroom through internships, athletics, community service projects, mission trips and ministry teams.

The university seeks to be more intentional than ever about providing opportunities for current students to impact today’s culture and advance the cause of Christ. We would not be able to continue to fulfill our mission to our students without the continued involvement and investment of our alumni and friends.

Charleston Southern Fund

The Charleston Southern Fund is our annual fund that provides unrestricted scholarship support for students. Every gift to the Charleston Southern Fund goes directly to help students receive their education at CSU.

Buy a Brick Program

Personalizing a brick is a great way to celebrate your academic achievements at Charleston Southern, to commemorate friendships and memories made, to honor your favorite faculty or staff member or to memorialize a loved one. Our current and future alumni, as well as faculty, staff, coaches, parents and friends of the university are encouraged to personalize a brick on the Reflection Pond walkway.

CSU Society

The CSU Society unites Charleston Southern University’s most dedicated annual supporters, passionately advancing the mission of a Christ-centered education. Through their generous contributions, members provide essential resources that enhance every aspect of the CSU experience, empowering student scholarships, enriching academic programs, and inspiring campus initiatives that foster both learning and spiritual growth.

As a community of dedicated supporters, CSU Society members play a crucial role in helping students discover their purpose, strengthen their faith, and develop into leaders who make a lasting impact for Christ. Through their generous contributions, they sustain a Christ-centered education that prepares graduates to serve and lead with excellence.

Buc Club

There are many levels of giving available that can assist with student-athletic scholarships and increase the Buccaneer spirit! With 16 teams in action throughout the year, this opportunity is ideal for all sports lovers.

Endowed Gifts

Endowed gifts are gifts that continue giving year after year through scholarships, professorships, academic chairs and other academic areas of interest. When you establish an endowed gift, you decide the criteria for the recipient and make a profound impact in the recipient’s educational pursuit.
