About Guy Chmieleski
Serving as the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students since October, 2025, Dr. C has nearly 30 years in Christian Higher Education spanning six different campuses. With a life-long commitment to honoring God in all that he does, and working closely with the Student Life team to provide an exceptional student experience here at CSU, Dr. C has a heart for seeing Jesus transform the lives of young people during their formative college years. "When we can help students better understand how God has designed them -- with unique gifts, talents, and passions that speak to a specific call He has placed on their life -- then we can come alongside them and help them connect this season of learning and preparation with future work that will provide meaning and purpose while helping to meet the needs of the world. No matter what that work might be, we are all called to honor God as disciples of Jesus, sharing the Good News wherever we may go."
"I believe in giving God our very best. For me, through my role, that means caring about and investing in the team of professionals that I serve alongside -- empowering and equipping them to love and serve students with everything they have. I want our students to be surprised by the level of connection and service they receive from the Student Life team. When I personally get the chance to connect with students, my goal is for them to feel listened to, supported, cared for, and encouraged -- no matter what the circumstance. "
