About Keafer Triplett, Ph.D.
Dr. Triplett is a retired Georgia educator and accomplished turnaround leader with more than 31 years of experience across all levels of public education. During his career, he served nearly a decade as a principal and also held roles as assistant principal, summer school administrator, athletic director, math and science teacher, GED instructor, health and physical education teacher, and football and track coach.
Dr. Triplett's honors include Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year Marietta City Schools Outstanding New Employee, Title I Reward School Principal, and Title I High-Progress Reward School Principal. He co-authored Utilizing Responses to Intervention to Support Georgia Children in Need of Services (CHINS) Provisions (2017) with his late sister, Dr. Kimberly Triplett.
A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Dr. Triplett earned a B.S. in Sports
Medicine, an M.P.H. in Health Administration, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. A Desert Shield/Storm veteran and Army Commendation Medal recipient, he is a member of Central United Methodist Church, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and the proud father of Maci V. Triplett.
