Check out free art show in the Basement Gallery

The Basement Gallery, on the lower level of Rivers Library, currently has a free show displaying art from students and faculty. The End of Semester Show opened in December and is set to go through March 1 said Assistant Professor of Art Timothy Banks.

“I am excited for the CSU community to see what our talented art students are creating,” said Banks.

The show features work of six Advanced Painting students from the fall 2024 semester.

The Basement Gallery is the only gallery on campus that features a revolving selection of artwork with plans for more shows in the future.

After The End of Semester Show, there will be a Senior Graphic Design Students show, which will be followed by a show called Works on Paper featuring works from Advanced Drawing and Printmaking students starting in May that will go through the end of the summer.

Banks expressed hope that these shows would encourage the student body to enroll in CSU’s painting courses, which are open to all students.
