About Amanda Champion
Dr. Amanda Champion is a Professor of Education at Charleston Southern University and currently teaches graduate courses in the doctoral program. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master's of Education in Exceptional Student Education from the University of Central Florida, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education: Special Education from Liberty University.
Dr. Champion has served in both public and private education for over 25 years, working with students of all ability levels from preschool to high school. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University and Jacksonville University for 10 years.
Dr. Champion presents frequently on the implementation of embedding best practices into the learning environment to cultivate welcoming school communities. Her research focuses on students with learning disabilities and students from under-resourced backgrounds. Dr. Champion is passionate about empowering teachers and school leaders to integrate best practices into their teaching to create inclusive, welcoming school environments. She and her husband have five children.
