About Donald Lawrimore Jr
Dr. Lawrimore is a native South Carolinian and resident of the low country. After graduating from a small rural SC high school, he enrolled in and graduated from Clemson University with a teaching degree in mathematics. Ten years of classroom teaching led to a degree in Secondary Administration from The Citadel. He went on to become a building administrator in Charleston, Walhalla, and then Newberry, SC. He has also worked at the SC Dept. of Ed. and as a district level leader in Lexington Richland School District 5 where he retired from public education. Dr. Lawrimore then began his career in higher education at Newberry College where he became a tenured associate professor in the Department of Teacher Education. During this time he also earned his PhD from Clemson University. After 10 years at Newberry, he was asked to teach at CSU as a full professor.
Dr. Lawrimore currently resides in Goose Creek with his wife of 38 years (and counting). He has three children and two grandchildren.
