About Justin Goebel
Justin Goebel, MSPAS, PA-C is an Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Physician Assistant program at Charleston Southern University. He earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012 and has clinical experience in both orthopedic surgery and emergency medicine.
Before transitioning into full-time academics in 2018, Professor Goebel served as a clinical preceptor, mentoring PA students in real-world healthcare settings. In his current role, he oversees clinical curriculum development, fosters partnerships with rotation sites, and supports students as they move from didactic learning into clinical practice. He is a member of the Pi Alpha National Honor Society, which recognizes significant academic achievement, leadership, research, and service in the physician assistant profession.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Professor Goebel enjoys spending time with his wife and their four boys. Together, they seek out outdoor adventures whenever possible, with a shared love for hiking, camping, and exploring nature as a family.
