About Kimberly Downing
Kimberly Downing is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Charleston Southern University. Mrs. Downing earned a Master of Science in Nursing Education degree from Charleston Southern University in 2013, and has been teaching here ever since. She has 12 years of bedside experience in critical care nursing, and is a nationally certified Progressive Care Nurse. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
"Nursing is a calling. I was blessed to be called to train up the next generation of nurses. I cannot imagine a better place to do that than here at CSU. I am able to relate everything I teach back to the calling God has placed on my students'' hearts. I have the chance to mentor nursing students in a Christian environment, using my faith as my guide. I cannot imagine a better way to teach nursing."
