The on-campus Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Cybersecurity provides a broad, academically grounded foundation in securing systems, networks, and data, while the hybrid/online Bachelor of Technology (B.T.) in Cybersecurity emphasizes applied learning designed to prepare you for real-world roles in a fast-moving field. Charleston Southern’s major in cybersecurity combines coursework in computer science, network security, criminal justice and mathematics and is targeted toward students wishing to enter the fields of network security, computer forensics and information analysis. This exciting and growing field will equip you for careers involving cybersecurity. Students in this major will be in small classes and prepared for multiple job opportunities postgraduation. 

The Bachelor of Technology degree provides a hybrid or online liberal arts education and a core of professionally related cognate courses for persons holding an associate degree in an approved technical field. Approved cognate areas include Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Medical Laboratory Technology.
