Criminal Justice Summer Camp

If you have dreams of a career in criminal justice, come get a glimpse of the real world of criminal justice from the people who work in it every day. Visit with law enforcement agents, professors, and criminal justice students, as well as learn the procedures of a prisons, crime labs, and the coroner’s office. Participate in activities that give you hands-on experience, such as investigating a mock crime scene, being arrested, arresting someone else, and the like.

Music Camps

Charleston Southern University’s Horton School of Music is proud to sponsor Summer Music Camp for students in grades four through 12. Campers may participate in various percussion, vocal, band, orchestra and piano camps.

Other Camps

CSU also hosts external camps, including MFuge, Centrifuge, churches and organizations. MFuge is a missions-based summer camp sponsored by LifeWay, and is easily the largest camp bringing more than 2,600 campers in seven weeks. Each week, campers served the community at mission sites across the Charleston area. At Centrifuge, students are divided into recreation and Bible study groups based on age ranges. Students are divided into tracks that offer creative, active, performance, and classroom-based activities led by a member of the FUGE staff.

Lightsey Chapel Auditorium

Our auditorium seats up to 1,500 people. The Lightsey Chapel is designed for large scale events and has been the location for concerts, statewide political debates and cooking shows.

Drew Conference Center

The Whitfield Center is located at the heart of campus and is a perfect location for conferences and events, and the Drew Conference Center can accommodate up to 200 people. The Whitfield Center offers flexible space to accommodate your next event. With multimedia projectors, staging and comfortable seating and located at the heart of campus, the space serves as a unique option for event hosting.

Dining Hall

The recently expanded Dining Hall, with its floor-to-ceiling atrium style windows overlooking the center of campus and the Reflection Pond, is designed for large events (up to 600).

Wingate by Wyndham

The Wingate hotel is conveniently located on the campus of Charleston Southern University and has space available for small to medium conferences and gatherings. The hotel also serves as a perfect location to host guests for extended events. For more information, click here.

Gold Room

The Charleston Southern University Gold Room is located on the second floor of the Thurmond Center. It’s a convenient location to parking and is a great space to host an event or conference. The Gold Room holds up to 200 people and is technology-friendly.
