Dr. Michael Bryant has served as the Vice President for Strategic Planning, Faith Integration, and Christian Leadership since 2019. He is also a tenured professor of Christian Studies, teaching at the university since 2008. He has served in a variety of administrative roles at Charleston Southern University including Interim President (2018, 2023), Executive Vice President (2016-2019), Dean of Christian Studies (2013-2018), and Chair of the Religion Department (2012-2013). Dr. Bryant is married to Amy and has four children. He and his wife are members of Northwood Baptist Church.

I began serving at CSU in 2008 because I felt a strong call from the Lord to serve Him through Christian higher education. My great passion is to help students understand God's purpose for their life by interacting with them in and out of the classroom.
