About Caitlin Augustin, Ed.D
Dr. Caitlin Augustin joined CSU in December 2024 and is currently the assistant professor and clinical education coordinator for the Master of Athletic Training program at Charleston Southern University. She is passionate about preparing the next generation of athletic trainers through evidence-based education, clinical skill development, and a whole-person approach to patient care. Her professional interests include clinical education, therapeutic rehabilitation, and integrating faith and learning within the athletic training profession. Caitlin is a member of the NATA, MAATA, and SCATA. Prior to arriving at CSU, Caitlin served in various Athletic Training settings which include the secondary setting, physical therapy offices, semi-professional basketball, and other PRN opportunities. In 2023, she was awarded the Lifesaving Award through the Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute and was provided a Lifesaver Citation from the NCHSAA. Caitlin was recently married (2026) to husband Vanderbilt. Caitlin spends her free time gardening, participating in church group activities, and traveling to explore new places.
