Dr. Kimberly Champagne is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Hans A. Nielsen College of Business at Charleston Southern University (CSU), Charleston, SC.

Before joining CSU, Champagne served 30 years in various leadership roles within the U.S. Air Force, from public affairs officer at Shaw Air Force Base, SC to becoming the Executive Officer for the Readiness Management Group at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, in late 2011. She later served as a Management and Program Analyst and Business Experience Process Manager at Joint Base Charleston, SC from 2012 to 2016.

Champagne would first join CSU in May of 2016 (while on active duty), as the Recruiting Flight Commander and an Assistant Professor for Aerospace Studies for Air Force ROTC. She also served as an adjunct professor for the College of Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS). In 2019, she returned to Joint Base Charleston as Commander of the 315th Force Support Squadron for 2 years.

In 2021, Champagne began as the Education and Training Directorate Chief at the Secretary of the Air Force Office of Diversity and Inclusion, at the Pentagon. She then transitioned to her current Reserve position in the Public Affairs Office (Planning and Assessment Branch), while completing her Ed.D. in Leadership at Charleston Southern University in May 2023.

Since then, she rejoined CSU as a faculty member of the Nielsen College of Business in August 2022. As a professor, she draws from her vast background in leadership, communications, and operations management to provide real-world value and practical instruction in the classroom.
