Mark Crawford serves as the Assistant Dean of Business for Undergraduate Programs under the Hans A. Nielsen College of Business at Charleston Southern University.

Prior to joining CSU, Crawford served for 7 years as a Judge Advocate for the U.S. Marine Corps.
During that time, he also entered into higher education as an assistant professor and Naval ROTC unit at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.
In July 2000, Crawford entered private practice as an attorney working in the Charleston area for another 7 years.
In 2007, he returned to higher education, joining the full-time faculty at Charleston Southern University. While he serves as an administrator, he also teaches ethics, business law, commercial law, and human resource law at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
