Dr. Jonathan Denton has been serving in student ministry for over 20 years and is an Assistant Professor of Christian Studies/Student Ministry at CSU. His desire is to train up the next generation of student ministry leaders who will be disciple-makers and leaders of healthy ministries that see students and their families brought into relationship with God, built up in their faith, and sent out to make Him known. Denton was able to see this as a reality by serving over 10 years in a South Mississippi church before his current position at CSU. He is married to Amanda, and they have two children, Josiah and Baxter.

Your Purpose. Our Mission.

One of my greatest joys at CSU is to walk alongside students that are feeling a call into ministry. As they wrestle with what this calling from God is, I get to pray with them and give them opportunities to learn about ministry at CSU and serve in significant ways in our churches in the Charleston area. Our Student Ministry and Christian Studies students are making great kingdom impacts and that brings so much life into the classroom.
