Marjorie Freeman Headshot

Marjorie Freeman is a Registered Nurse and a member of the College of Nursing faculty since 2023. Her 7 years of nursing experience has been mostly in critical care units throughout multiple states due to several years of experience as a travel nurse. She also has experience as a nurse navigator in both Neurology and Oncology clinic settings. She graduated from Augusta University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Clinical Nurse Leader. In 2022, Marjorie felt drawn by God to pursue a teaching position at Charleston Southern University where she originally served as an adjunct clinical instructor and later accepted a fulltime instructor position. She is originally from the South Georgia region but has recently decided to call Charleston home. She and her husband attend Seacoast Church in Mt. Pleasant. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, exploring the Charleston area, playing with her dogs, reading, and going to the beach.

Your Purpose. Our Mission.

I chose and will continue to choose to work at Charleston Southern University because I believe their mission and values align with my own as a teaching instructor. This includes promoting academic excellence in a Christian environment through leading, learning, and serving. The faith-based nursing program that Charleston Southern University has encourages both faculty and students to integrate their religious beliefs into their learning making the experience more meaningful.
