Dr. Chris Holdorf is the Department Chair for Accounting, Economics, and Finance at Charleston Southern University’s Nielsen College of Business. He oversees the Center for Personal Financial Management and co-founded the Nielsen Accounting Society.
He holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership, an honorary Doctor of Divinity, a Master of Arts in Theology, and a Master of Accountancy. Dr. Holdorf is a former CPA and ordained minister.
His corporate experience includes senior roles at Arthur Andersen & Co., Contel Corporation, GTE, and Southern Electric International. In ministry, he served as Executive Pastor at First Redeemer Church and Senior Pastor at Oak Hill Baptist Church. From 2016 to 2020, he was CEO of the National Christian Foundation and later Executive Director of the Global Water Center.
Joining CSU in 2019, Dr. Holdorf specializes in teaching accounting courses. He enjoys flying, coastal boating, playing guitar, and spending time with his five grandchildren.
