Dr. Ben LeVan serves as the department chair for the management, marketing, and entrepreneurship areas of the undergraduate programs for the Hans A. Nielsen College of Business, at Charleston Southern University. He is also the coordinator of the M.S. in Human Resource Management graduate program and associate professor for human resource and general management areas.

Dr. LeVan is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of leadership development and human resource experience servicing Fortune 500 companies, midsized organizations, and nonprofits. He has directed HR functions for over 8,000 employees generating revenues of more than $2 billion. Dr. LeVan has spoken to a broad range of U.S. and international audiences, including business professionals, universities, and nonprofit organizations through both keynote and national radio programs.

He earned his Ph.D. in Human Resource Development at the University of Texas and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. Dr. LeVan is also the Founder and President of PROPEL, an HR services firm specializing in leadership development, talent acquisition, talent management, and employee engagement activities.

Dr. LeVan and his wife, Stephanie, both serve at CSU and have two grown children.
