Dr. Ben LeVan serves as an assistant professor in human resource management and general management at the Hans A. Nielsen College of Business, at Charleston Southern University.

LeVan is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of leadership development and human resource experience servicing Fortune 500 companies, midsized organizations, and nonprofits. He has directed HR functions for over 8,000 employees generating revenues of more than two billion dollars. LeVan has spoken to a broad range of U.S. and international audiences, including business professionals, universities, and nonprofit organizations through both keynote and national radio programs.

He earned his Ph.D. in Human Resource Development at the University of Texas and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. LeVan is also the Founder and President of PROPEL, an HR services firm specializing in leadership development, talent acquisition, talent management, and employee engagement activities.

LeVan and his wife, Stephanie, have been married since 1999 and have two children, Julia and Dawson.
