Josh Merrigan enters his second season on the Charleston Southern Baseball staff joining the program on Sept. 1, 2022.

Merrigan comes to CSU as a former assistant at Radford, Youngstown State, Highland Community College and Morningside Community College. He will oversee the development of catchers plus assist Coach Karl Kuhn with the pitching staff. In addition, Merrigan will serve as Camp Coordinator for Marc MacMillan Baseball Camps.

“With our assistant positions continuing to generate a great deal of interest on a national level, it was important to find the best coach for us,” Head Coach Marc MacMillan said. “Josh came highly recommended. He knows the game having been drafted multiple times, playing in the MiLB and at Oklahoma State plus coaching high school, travel ball, and Division I & II baseball. More impressively, Josh has a servant’s heart with a gas level that is never full.”
