About Shannon Morrison

Shannon Morrison has served as Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer since June 2024. She brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience across the banking industry and municipal government sectors in Georgia and South Carolina.

She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Furman University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Throughout her career, Shannon has been recognized for her strategic insight, fiscal stewardship, and commitment to organizational excellence.

Before relocating to the Charleston area, Shannon and her family lived in Atlanta, where they founded a nonprofit missions organization dedicated to serving low-income and homeless communities. Her husband now serves as a local pastor, and together they remain actively involved in their church and continue leading their nonprofit outreach efforts.

Shannon and her husband are proud parents of five children, who keep their family actively engaged in school and sports activities.

"Our work is ultimately about serving something greater than ourselves. I believe God gives each of us a purpose, and in my role, I see it as my responsibility to steward CSU’s resources with integrity and wisdom so others can fulfill theirs. Strong financial leadership isn’t just about budgets and numbers—it’s about creating stability and trust so our organization can serve well and make a lasting impact in the lives of the people and communities we’re called to support."
