Dr. Ovidiu Toader, is a professor of Physics and Engineering, teaching algebra-based and calculus Physics classes, as well and electrical engineering classes (Digital Systems, Signals and Systems). He holds a Ph.D. in Physics and MS in Electrical Engineering.

Dr. Toader worked for over 20 years in the Michigan Ion Beam Laboratory and operated various particle accelerators generating ion beam in the range of 1 KeV to over 15 MeV. His expertise includes among others: ion sources, ion beam transport, materials irradiation, irradiation effects in materials, instrument control and interfacing, vacuum systems, vacuum pumps, teaching general physics courses and electrical engineering education. His professional interests include but are not limited to nuclear fusion, high energy ion beams, fuzzy logic, high output ion sources, computer interfacing with instrumentation, quantum computers and bionics.
