The CSU Wind Ensemble presents this year’s invited collegiate band performance for the S.C. chapter of the College Band Director’s National Association. The performance features three pieces composed in the last 12 months, including Benjamin Horne’s highly acclaimed Spiritual Symphony, as well as Prof. Mark Sterbank (saxophone) and Prof. Todd Smith (cornet). The CSU Concert Singers and their conductor Dr. Will Griswold are special guests, illuminating the text and bringing to life the style of the spirituals performed by the Wind Ensemble. The concert is free and open to the public – conference registration is not required. (Additionally, there will be a CSU Alumni Reception the following day, Friday at 5:45 in the Lexington A room of the Conference Center.)
