Hurricane Florence Updates

By CSU Media | September 11, 2018

At this time, Charleston Southern University is officially closed in preparation for Hurricane Florence. The decision to reopen the campus will depend on the hurricane’s severity and assessments by state and local government officials. Once it is safe to return, university leaders will communicate the specific date and time that the campus will reopen. Professors will show leniency to students whose return is further delayed by heavy traffic and/or travel from long distances. If widespread power outages occur, the university’s ability to communicate may be limited until power is restored.   Faculty, staff and students should monitor local media, Buc Alerts, CSU social media and charlestonsouthern.edu for updates.
