The Society for Human Resource Management has acknowledged that the CSU Bachelor of Science in Human Resources program through the College of Adult and Professional Studies is an Academically Aligned program. If you are actively enrolled in the CAPS Bachelor of Science in Human Resources program, you are eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP exam. You do not need to hold an HR title and do not need a degree or previous HR experience to apply to take the exam; however, a basic working knowledge of HR practices and principles or a degree from an Academically Aligned program is recommended by SHRM.
