Launch Your First Year
CSU’s QEP, Launch, is a five-year initiative to strengthen and re-energize the First-Year Experience so you are better prepared to succeed academically, socially, and spiritually at our Christian liberal arts university.
Launch focuses on improving your transition, engagement, and learning in the critical first year—especially for students from diverse backgrounds, preparation levels, and entry points (first-time, transfer, etc.).
The QEP will be phased in over five years and will eventually include:
- Revised First-year seminar courses
- Courses and support for transfer students
- Second-semester seminars
- Peer coaches and student leaders
- Structured group work
- Extended orientation experiences
- Learning skills development
- “Culture Credits” to encourage your engagement in campus life
You’ll learn alongside students from different majors and backgrounds about what it means to be a CSU student—academically, socially, and spiritually—within the context of a Christian, liberal arts education.
Launch is designed to help you:
- Succeed academically and persist through graduation
- Build meaningful connections with peers and faculty
- Develop the skills you need to thrive at CSU
- Engage fully in campus life and the CSU community
