Updates on campus construction projects

New Residence Hall

As you’ve noticed there is a lot happening on campus. Luke Blackmon, vice president for business affairs and athletics, has provided an update on the projects.

“We are happy to announce that both resident students and faculty and staff will benefit from the additional spaces created with the redesign of the Thurmond Center parking lot,” said Blackmon. Spaces will be stenciled soon, so keep an eye out to make sure you are parked in the correct spot.

Other project updates:

  • Lights are being installed on the Softball Field.
  • The Residence Hall has had documented rain delay days but is still pushing hard for completion in December 2018.
  • The contractor and architect are working through the stages of design for the Science Building expansion and Physical Therapy building projects. The preliminary construction completion date for both projects is December 2019.
