The Doctor of Education in leadership degree at Charleston Southern University offers a cohort-based program with a traditional on-campus, hybrid format.

Admissions Process
Step 1: Review Application Requirements
The following requirements must be met to be eligible to apply for the program:
- Online Application
- CV or Resume
- Official transcripts from every previously attended college or university
- Earned master’s degree
- Three online recommendation forms
- Virtual interview
- Additional information upon request

Applicants with an EdS credential may be accepted. An individualized plan will be developed, in consultation with the Director of the Graduate Programs to determine transfer credits.
Step 3: Virtual Information Session
Information sessions will be held on select dates and can be accessed here. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.
Step 4: Virtual Interview
After a preliminary review of the application, the Admissions Committee will request an evaluative admission interview for some candidates. This interview with the Dean of the College of Education, Director of Graduate Programs, and/or other members of the Admissions Committee may be conducted virtually and is by invitation only.
Step 5: Acceptance Requirements
Detailed instructions on how to complete the process will be communicated to candidates upon acceptance.
