Event
Sondheim Choral Concert
This program celebrates the music of Stephen Sondheim who passed away just a few months ago. Sondheim left a mark on the 20th century in ways not unlike Mozart and Beethoven in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Our program will celebrate Sondheim’s music from five decades and seven musicals (Westside Story, Anyone Can Whistle, Company, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Passion).
The program features Bel Canto under the direction of Professor Ricard Bordas and Concert Singers under the direction of Dr. Dustin Ousley. Members of the CSU orchestra will be playing for a medley of tunes from “Sweeney Todd” and members of the Concert Singers will be feature in solo, duet, trio and small group numbers as well.
The program is FREE, everything is in English and promises to be an exciting concert and event for our campus!
